Leading business figures will gather on September 23 at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb for the 18th edition of Lider’s conference, the Day of Great Plans. The opening part of the conference will feature an address by the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović, after which Minister of Economy Ante Šušnjar will speak about the reindustrialization of Croatia and the National Plan for Industrial Development for the period 2027–2034.
This year’s program brings together representatives from the state, the financial sector, and leaders of leading Croatian and regional companies with one goal – strategic positioning and preparation of business for the year 2027.
What the Government, HNB, and economists expect from 2027.
After Šušnjar’s presentation, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance Matej Bule will discuss the financial and tax policy of the Government in 2027, while the Governor of the Croatian National Bank Ante Žigman will present macroeconomic prospects and monetary policy for the coming year.
A broader regional perspective will be provided by Mauro Giorgio Marrano, a senior economist at UniCredit for Central and Eastern Europe, with macroeconomic forecasts for Croatia and Central and Eastern European countries.
Providing as concrete information as possible for business plan development is the fundamental idea of the Day of Great Plans. At a time when companies must simultaneously account for inflation, energy prices, geopolitical uncertainties, extreme weather events, and accelerated technological changes, the conference aims to offer various scenarios and perspectives for the coming year.
How to prepare for challenges in 2027.
