The call for the Annual Awards for Green Building and Sustainable Built Environment 2026 is open until November 11, 2026, and all legal and natural persons from Croatia who have completed projects between July 1, 2025, and September 1, 2026, can apply.

The awards recognize projects, institutions, and individuals who have excelled in this field over the past year.

The organizers of the competition are the Croatian Green Building Council (GBC Croatia) and the Croatian Association of Manufacturers of Thermal-Facade Systems (HUPFAS), celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Over the past ten years, the awards have become one of the most important recognitions in the field of sustainable construction in Croatia. Award winners represent examples of excellence, innovation, and responsible space management, setting standards for the future development of the sector through their actions.

The goal of the awards is to promote quality green building, sustainable resource management, circular economy, and innovative solutions that contribute to a better quality of life and environmental preservation.

– The jubilee, tenth award ceremony once again confirms the most important thing: Croatia can boast exceptionally high-quality projects, top experts, and organizations that bravely lead our green transition. We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to highlight the best among the best and believe that their successes will inspire others to embrace positive changes – says Dean Smolar, director of the Croatian Green Building Council.

The awards will be given in 6 categories; you can submit your projects or institutions/organizations in 5 categories, while the person of the year is proposed and selected by the expert committee.

– If you have a quality project, new construction, or renovation of a building that demonstrates good cooperation between the profession, industry, and community and contributes to a sustainable future, apply – concludes Igor Kemenović, president of HUPFAS.
