In accommodation on family farms, around 5.6 percent fewer tourists, or 13 thousand, visited in August, but they achieved similar overnight stays as last year, nearly 60 thousand.

A large number of overnight stays, 2.27 million, or 3.3 percent more in August, was achieved in the segment of “other hospitality facilities for accommodation,” and this accommodation also saw an increase of 5.2 percent in tourists, totaling 509 thousand.

HTZ data for the first eight months of this year shows that in total, both commercial and non-commercial overnight stays amounted to 90.5 million, or 0.5 percent more than last year in the same period, with 17.4 million tourists visiting all accommodations, or 1.4 percent more.

Commercial accommodation was chosen by 16.6 million tourists in the first eight months of this year, or 1.4 percent more than in the same period last year, and the number of overnight stays increased by 0.5 percent to 78.6 million.

By types of accommodation, household facilities received the most tourists, 6.1 million, or 0.7 percent more than in the previous eight months, and these facilities also achieved the highest number of overnight stays, nearly 34 million, similar to the previous year.

Next are hotels with 20 million overnight stays and just over 5.8 million tourists, which are increases of 2.7 and 2 percent, respectively, while camps are third with 17.6 million overnight stays and 2.8 million arrivals, nearly matching the results from last year’s eight months.

In “other hospitality facilities for accommodation”, a total of 1.7 million tourists visited commercially (paying per overnight stay), achieving 6.8 million overnight stays, which are increases of 3.2 and 2.2 percent compared to last year.
