Coca-Cola Adria has announced that Bogdan Chirita has taken over the position of General Director of the company. Chirita will be responsible for operations in Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, markets where Coca-Cola has been strongly present and connected with consumers and local communities for decades.

With nearly ten years of experience at Coca-Cola and a proven track record in leading commercial strategies in European markets that have contributed to business growth, Chirita brings significant expertise and experience to his new leadership position in the Adria region. In close collaboration with Coca-Cola HBC, the bottling partner, Chirita will lead the implementation of an ambitious strategic vision focused on sustainable business growth and the development of locally relevant initiatives that put consumers at the center.

– It is a great honor for me to lead Coca-Cola in markets where our brands are so deeply woven into the local culture and everyday life. I look forward to collaborating with our talented teams and partners to jointly embark on a new chapter of innovation and shared success across the region. I also want to sincerely thank my predecessor Gjorgji Hristov for his exceptional leadership, which has laid a solid foundation for our further growth in the market – said Chirita.

Before this appointment, Chirita served as the Director of Franchise Operations for Coca-Cola in Italy, where he managed the strategic and operational program in one of the company’s most important European markets. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions in Romania, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, specializing in revenue growth management and business transformation. He completed his MBA program at IMD Business School and earned a master’s degree from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Bucharest.

Chirita succeeds Gjorgji Hristov as General Director of Coca-Cola Adria, who has taken over as General Director of Coca-Cola for Greece and Cyprus. Hristov leaves behind a significant legacy in the Adria region, where he played a key role in strengthening the leading market position and developing important strategic partnerships.
