Technology is no longer just a support for business; it shapes the way we work, communicate, shop, and even make decisions. That is why Lider is launching ICT Insider, a new podcast series in collaboration with A1 Croatia, where we will bring closer topics that were until recently reserved for IT departments, but now must be understood by everyone living and working in a digital environment.

We will talk about trends that are changing business, technologies that are just emerging, specific decisions that affect companies, as well as everyday life, and analyze current events and phenomena from the ICT industry without complicating matters.

In the first episode, we focus on data centers, the fundamental infrastructure of the digital economy.

Everything we do online, from emails and online shopping to AI queries, passes through infrastructure that we do not see, but on which business operations, security, and competitiveness of companies increasingly depend.

With Marko Teklić, ICT coordinator for Smart, Data, and Cloud infrastructure at A1 Croatia, host Sandra Babić discusses why data centers are no longer just the technical background of systems, but an active part of business that today drives data, applications, and increasingly advanced AI processes.

In the episode, you will learn why data centers are today as important as roads or energy, where Croatia stands in relation to the rest of Europe, and whether there is a real opportunity for development. Teklić also explains the risks associated with relying on global cloud providers, when ‘cheaper cloud’ stops being a smart choice, what the biggest misconception companies have about this topic is, and where to start if you are considering modernizing your IT infrastructure.

If you are interested in how technology affects business and everyday life, this episode provides context that is increasingly becoming essential to understand.
