Podravka’s Foundation ‘Zlata Bartl’ is once again announcing a competition for grants from the ‘Power of Innovation’ program, aimed at the development and application of innovative solutions in the agricultural and food sector.

The program supports initiatives and projects that contribute to reducing food waste, adapting to and mitigating climate change, digital transformation of agriculture, the use of renewable energy sources, preventing air, water, and soil pollution, organic farming of agricultural products, and smart water management in production.

The competition is intended for legal entities predominantly owned by women, for projects that can contribute to the aforementioned areas or otherwise positively impact the agricultural and food sector. The most successful applicants can receive financial support ranging from five thousand to 20 thousand euros.

Applications for the competition are accepted until June 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM, exclusively through official forms available on the Foundation’s website.

All information about the competition can be found on Podravka’s website, and applications are submitted electronically to the address [email protected].

This is the second time the Foundation is announcing the ‘Power of Innovation’ competition, after the first competition was held in 2025, when three projects received financial support. Grants were awarded to the projects ‘AgriCon – a digital platform for connecting fruit and vegetable growers’ by Fruk FinTech, ‘Development of a natural extract as a preservative for food products using NADES technology’ by NADES Design, and ‘Production of a final product – a portable device for purifying drinking water’ by KRISTALNA IDEJA. Nearly 65 thousand euros in support was allocated for these projects.

The Foundation ‘Zlata Bartl’ is named after the scientist and head of Podravka’s research team who developed the iconic product Vegeta in 1958. The Foundation embodies her spirit of innovation and dedication to scientific research and transmits it to new generations through support for projects with social and economic impact.

The ‘Power of Innovation’ program supports the development of innovative solutions that address specific challenges in the food and agriculture sector or current social and environmental challenges, with a priority focus on companies that are predominantly women-owned.
