Zoran Miliša, a manager who was the face of the liberalization of the Croatian energy market, announced his withdrawal from the position of co-owner and president of ENNA Opskrba. His departure marks the end of a four-year cycle in which ENNA, after the exodus of key personnel from E.ON, became one of the most powerful players in the domestic market.

After being synonymous with market breakthroughs for years, first at RWE, then at E.ON, and for the last four years at ENNA Opskrba, Miliša closes his energy chapter. As he confirmed on his LinkedIn profile, he is stepping down from the CEO position and exiting the ownership structure of the company that under his leadership became a key challenger in the gas and electricity market.

Miliša’s transition from E.ON to ENNA in 2020 was more than just a transfer as he brought along a team of operators, which among other things allowed ENNA to achieve revenues exceeding 114 million euros in record time (already in its second year of operation).

His mandate in the system Pavao Vujnovac coincided with the most challenging period for the energy sector, from the Ukrainian crisis and extreme price volatility to strong state interventionism that pushed many smaller players out of the game. Miliša managed to position ENNA Opskrba as a stable alternative.

– This period was not just work. It was a journey full of challenges, uncertainties, growth, mistakes from which we learned, and moments I am truly proud of. The greatest value I carry is not just the results we achieved, but the people I worked with – he wrote on LinkedIn.

From megawatts to basketball courts

Although he is leaving the system he built, Miliša does not plan a classic managerial retirement. His focus is shifting to two seemingly incompatible but high-profile directions, new technologies and sports.

– In the next chapter, I will focus on investments in new technologies and sports – my first love, where I will try to contribute with my experience and lead a basketball academy for the development of the most talented players – Miliša stated, emphasizing that he wants to leave a mark where emotions and experience drive him the most.
