FACC, a technological partner of the global aviation industry, which has a production facility in Jakovlje in Zagreb County, announced that it will invest around 350 million euros in production capacities and new projects by 2030, with about 120 million euros allocated for the expansion of production at its location in Upper Austria.

“Based on current market forecasts, FACC will continue to grow until 2030. In order to increase production for existing projects and develop new projects, the company plans to invest around 350 million euros in new technologies and the expansion of global locations by 2030,” FACC, which is majority-owned by the Chinese company AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), stated on Tuesday.

Elevators and winglets for passenger aircraft

To create new capacities for the production of large structural components for passenger aircraft, such as elevators and winglets, FACC announced that it will build a new high-tech facility in the municipality of St. Martin im Innkreis in the Austrian province of Upper Austria, covering an area of 20,000 square meters, which will double the current production capacity for aircraft structure components at that location. The investment will also include the establishment of a separate research area where production processes and technologies for the next generation of commercial aircraft will be developed.

A total of about 120 million euros will be invested in the project, with construction planned to start at the end of this year, and for this expansion alone, FACC will need around 300 new workers by 2030, the company emphasized. It is worth noting that, according to preliminary business data published at the end of February, FACC achieved revenues of 984.4 million euros in 2025, with an annual increase of 11.3 percent.

At the same time, the company’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to 42.3 million euros, which is 49.4 percent higher than the previous year, while the number of employees in the group increased by 56 over the year, totaling 3,907.
