From April 14 to 17, the Zagreb Fair redefines the position of the regional industrial center. In conditions of intense international competition, Zagreb reaffirms its status as a key meeting point for technological innovations, networking, and strategic business decisions.

Technologies Shaping Modern Manufacturing

Solutions that shape modern manufacturing will be presented in the pavilions of the Zagreb Fair, from the latest machine tools and laser technologies to robotics, digitalization of manufacturing processes, and advanced welding systems.

– In the real sector, nothing can replace a live machine demonstration. You can study specifications online, but only when you see the machine in operation and talk to experts do you get the real picture – emphasizes Damir Pavlek, commercial manager of the BIAM & WELDING fairs.

Among the key exhibitors are global and regional technology leaders such as Trumpf, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of laser systems and machine tools, as well as Strojotehnika, Čelada, Južni prolaz, Lorsel, Laser Solution, Rotometal, Metal Kovis, Tehno Filtra, and Okret. It is precisely the combination of international brands and domestic technology companies that gives the fair special value: visitors receive an overview of global trends and solutions developed in the regional industrial ecosystem at the same location.

Industry, Knowledge, and a New Generation of Experts

The industry has been rapidly transforming in recent years. Facilities are being digitized, robots are taking over repetitive processes, and the demand for highly qualified professionals is continuously growing. The BIAM & WELDING fair therefore also has a strong educational dimension. Within the fair, an Industrial Incubator is held, a space that connects the real sector with educational institutions and young professionals.

– Machines mean nothing without people who know how to operate them. When young people see that they can work with robots, lasers, and advanced software, the perception of work in the industry changes – emphasizes Damir Pavlek.

The professional program further emphasizes the technological and scientific dimension of the event. The traditional international conference KORMAT, dedicated to material protection and industrial finishing, and the seminar ‘Welding Coordinators’ gather engineers, researchers, and industry experts who discuss the latest solutions in the field of materials and manufacturing processes.

At a time when manufacturing, technology, and industrial competitiveness are being strongly discussed again in Europe, fairs like BIAM & WELDING gain additional weight as they bring together manufacturers, engineers, investors, and young professionals working on the technologies of future production.
