In the business year 2024/2025, which ended on September 30, dm, the leading retail chain in the drugstore business, concluded with a realized revenue of over 571 million euros, ten percent higher than in the previous business year. However, the net profit amounted to 8.9 million euros, which is 1.9 million euros less than in the previous year. As presented by dm’s director Mirko Mrakužić during the announcement of the business results, dm does not face pressure from its owners for constant profit growth, allowing the company to have ‘open hands’ for continuous investments.

– In the past business year, we invested more than ten million euros in the development of the sales network and digitalization, and an additional 2.5 million euros in prices. We opened two new stores in Vodice and Ivancu, and today we are present in 180 stores in 68 cities, with customers accessible anytime and anywhere thanks to the dm online shop. Ahead of us is a year in which we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our operations in Croatia, during which we will continue to invest in the development of our offerings and services, and our customers can also expect numerous surprises and novelties – emphasized Mrakužić.

In addition to financial performance indicators, members of dm’s Management Board presented to journalists the most important other achievements made in the previous business year: the number of online purchases exceeded 350 thousand, achieving a growth of 44.54 percent compared to the previous year and reaching online revenue of 21.4 million euros; the growth trend continued in the over-the-counter (OTC) segment, where revenue reached 17.23 million euros (+10.8 percent); with 131 new employees, dm now employs 2,310 people; the community was supported with 128 donations worth over 414 thousand euros; although not obligated to do so, dm published its first joint sustainability report covering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sustainability goals, as well as measures for their achievement.

– In every segment of its business, dm strives to operate sustainably and responsibly towards the community, and the development of the assortment and support for Croatian producers play a key role in this. Thanks to the competition, we have expanded our offer of sustainable products and will also support the business development of our two new partners, OPG Pocedulić from Gornji Kućani and Delfing from Krk – stated Gordana Picek, a member of dm’s Management Board.

In the business year 2025/2026, dm plans to invest more than 14 million euros in business development, focusing on modernizing the sales network, improving offerings and services, and better connecting online business with dm store operations.
