Alenka Jajac-Knez Becomes CEO of JGL

Alenka Jajac-Knez will take over as CEO of JGL at the end of the year, succeeding Mislav Vučić, who has held the position for eight years, the Rijeka-based pharmaceutical company reported on Monday.

According to a statement on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, CEO and Board Member of JGL, Mislav Vučić, will complete his term on December 30, 2025, and during the past eight years, he has achieved excellent results through his knowledge, dedication, and leadership, significantly contributing to the development and growth of JGL into a successful, modern, and globally recognized company.

In order to further support the strong growth and expansion of JGL, Alenka Jajac-Knez will assume the role of CEO on December 31, 2025.

As stated by the company, as a long-time Director of Market Operations, Jajac-Knez possesses a deep understanding of the needs of JGL’s customers and the dynamics of the international market, as well as strategic knowledge of the company’s processes. With her knowledge, experience, loyalty, and personality, she continuously achieves excellent business results, the statement reads.

Chairwoman of the Board of JGL, Eva Usmiani Capobianco, stated that she is pleased that this important position is being taken over by someone from within JGL. “Alenka Jajac-Knez is a proven, dedicated, and capable leader who has been growing and developing alongside the company for many years and is ready to take on the highest responsibility for our future development,” Usmiani Capobianco said in a statement included in the announcement.

A statement from Mislav Vučić was also conveyed, in which he expressed pride in all that has been achieved in eight years. “We have become the largest domestic pharmaceutical company, tripled our sales, and created significant value for employees and shareholders. I would like to thank everyone who participated in this joint success once again,” Vučić stated.
