Conference ‘Generational Change in Croatian Companies – Who Takes the Helm‘ and the presentation of the results of the Business Transfer Barometer 2025 will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Zagreb, at Wespa Business & Lounge, Green Gold, Radnička cesta 52.

Ten years after the first research on the topic of business transfer in Croatia, CEPOR has once again conducted a survey among entrepreneurs aged 55 and older regarding the future of their companies after the founders’ withdrawal. What future awaits numerous Croatian companies after the withdrawal of their founders will be a topic for discussion among representatives of partner institutions and entrepreneurs with experience in business transfer.

A publication with the results of the research will be distributed at the conference.

The program will be opened by Mirela Alpeza (CEPOR/EFOS), representatives of HUP (Irena Weber/Mislav Balković), Vanja Cico (Finance in Motion/EFSE), and Vjeran Vrbanec (HAMAG-BICRO), after which Alpeza will present the first part of the results of the national research on business transfer.

The panel ‘Entrepreneurial Exit’ will be moderated by Boris Vukić (Adizes SEE) with participants Ante Mandić, Blaženka Urbanke, Boris Popović, and Miodrag Šajatović. The second part of the research on the future of companies after the founders’ withdrawal will be presented by Petra Mezulić Juric (EFOS) and Maja Has (CEPOR).

Opportunities for growth after generational change will be discussed by Andrija Garofulić, Ivan Kurtović, Andreja Zadro, and Boris Sruk, moderated by Josipa Hren (Meliora Finance Advisory), while the ‘female perspective on transition’ will be led by Maja Has with Ana Škeva Boiko, Snježana Biloš, and Maša Smokrović. The afternoon will feature a presentation by Marie Deppelsemaker (TRANSEO) and a comparative panel with representatives from Slovenia, Finland, Belgium, Croatia, and Serbia, concluding with Mirela Alpeza.

CEPOR’s partners in organizing the conference are the European Fund for Southeast Europe, the Croatian Employers’ Association, the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, HAMAG-BICRO, Forvis Mazars Croatia, the business weekly Lider, the Senior Entrepreneurs Club SENTOR, Interkapital, Erste Bank, Selectio, and OD Wahl & Partneri.
