The current head of the Croatian Association of Counties has received another term. As announced, on Monday, the Electoral Assembly of the Croatian Association of Counties was held in Zagreb, and Danijel Marušić, the Prefect of Brod-Posavina County, was elected as president.
– Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the renewed trust and for choosing me for another term as president of the Croatian Association of Counties. Today we mark the end of an exceptionally dynamic and successful four-year period, but we also open a new chapter in our joint activities – said Prefect Danijel Marušić. It is worth recalling that Marušić was elected to the position of prefect in May and June 2009 by a large majority of voters in Brod-Posavina County during the first direct elections, and was re-elected in the local elections of 2013, 2017, and in May 2021.
Istria County Prefect Boris Miletić was elected as Vice President of the Croatian Association of Counties, while the opposing candidate for the vice presidency was Željko Kolar, the Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County. Following the electoral assembly, the 27th session of the Assembly was also held.
