EFZG Announces Competition for Enrollment in University Specialist Studies

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb has announced a competition for the enrollment of a new generation of students in university specialist studies for the academic year 2025/2026. These programs connect scientific excellence with practical knowledge necessary for the successful management of business processes, organizational management, and strategic decision-making.

The faculty offers 15 specialist studies focused on contemporary challenges in the economy and the public sector:

  • Economics of the European Union
  • Financial Institutions and Markets
  • Financial Reporting, Auditing, and Analysis
  • Information Management
  • Tourism Management
  • Organization and Management
  • Business Management – MBA
  • Legal and Economic Framework for Business in the European Union
  • Statistical Methods for Economic Analysis and Forecasting
  • Strategy and Corporate Governance
  • Strategic Entrepreneurship
  • Real Estate Market
  • Quality Management
  • Management of Financial Institutions
  • Management of Organizations and Projects in Culture

These programs are intended for professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge, develop new competencies, and gain a competitive advantage in business.

Candidates wishing to apply must meet the following requirements:

  • Completed university master’s degree or integrated university undergraduate and graduate study program that results in 300 ECTS credits and the academic title of university master of economics or another university master’s degree in the field of social, humanities, or other sciences; or completed undergraduate university study with the same number of credits.
  • Exceptionally, individuals who have completed a professional master’s degree with 300 ECTS credits and at least five years of work experience in the field of study execution may enroll, subject to passing differential exams determined by the Faculty.
  • The average grade must be at least 3.5. Candidates with a lower average must submit two recommendations from university professors.
  • Proficiency in at least one foreign language is required.

Along with the application, candidates must submit:

  • Certified copies of diplomas from all levels of study.
  • Certified transcripts of grades from all levels of study.
  • Two recommendations from university professors (if the average was below 3.5).
  • Citizenship certificate – original, certified copy, or electronic record from the Citizenship Register.
  • Birth certificate – original, certified copy, or electronic record.
  • Proof of proficiency in one foreign language.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Decision from the organization regarding tuition payment (if tuition is paid by a legal entity).
  • Certificate of work experience and employer confirmation of employment (for candidates who have completed a professional master’s degree).
  • Candidates who completed their studies outside the Republic of Croatia must provide a decision from the Commission of the University of Zagreb on the academic recognition of foreign higher education qualifications.

Applications are accepted until November 20, 2025.
