The German online fashion platform Zalando achieved strong revenue and profit growth in the third quarter of 2025, primarily as a result of the acquisition of the Hamburg-based company About You in July this year and the growth of the B2B and B2C segments.
According to Zalando, revenues increased by 26.5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of three billion euros, and there was also a 21.6 percent increase in gross merchandise volume, amounting to 4.2 billion euros. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose to 96 million euros, up from 93 million euros in the same period last year.
Recall that Zalando announced the acquisition of its former competitor About You in December last year for 1.1 billion euros, and the acquisition was finalized in July 2025. However, both brands continued to operate separately.
Collaboration with DFB Ahead of the 2026 World Cup
In the B2C segment, Zalando recorded growth in the sports segment and announced a five-year partnership with the German Football Association (DFB), just ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, as well as at the marathons in Rotterdam and Copenhagen.
In the B2B segment, Zalando is developing the operational system ZEOS, which has been further strengthened by the acquisition of the software company Scayle from the About You group. In this area, it has signed contracts with major partners, including the British fashion chain Marks & Spencer.
