HISPACE, the association of the Croatian space industry, and Infobip Startup Tribe, the global startup program of the Croatian unicorn Infobip, have established a partnership aimed at developing Croatian space startups and connecting them with the international market.

According to the statement, their goal is to give Croatian leaders in the space industry the opportunity to play on the global stage from day one, utilizing the infrastructure, partners, and network that Infobip Startup Tribe has built worldwide.

– Although it is just at the beginning of building its space industry, Croatia already has companies that have tested their products in space and gained what is known as ‘flight heritage’. Last year, it launched the first Croatian satellite, and HISPACE wants the number of such projects to increase. The only way to achieve this is through quality collaboration, and thus the partnership with Infobip Startup Tribe was created – explained Bernard Ivezić, president of HISPACE.

Through this collaboration, HISPACE will direct its startups and members to Infobip Startup Tribe and its global network of investors and partners, as well as participation in support programs for technology development and business internationalization.

– Our mission is not only to support Croatian space technology startups through Infobip’s products but also to connect them with our global network of partner investors with whom we have collaborated for years. We believe that in collaboration with HISPACE, space startups will have the opportunity to build global successes in an industry that inspires the world – stated Lucija Reić, head of Infobip Startup Tribe.

HISPACE is a national association that brings together Croatian experts, researchers, and entrepreneurs in the space industry. In just one year since its establishment, HISPACE has become an ESA partner for space promotion and has gathered more than 40 members. The focus of the association is the development of the domestic space ecosystem, support for startups, and connecting Croatia with European and global space institutions.

Infobip Startup Tribe was launched in 2021 as a global support program for technology startups that utilize a digital communication platform for growth and internationalization. It brings together more than 900 startups from 113 countries, and to date, Infobip has supported them with over three million euros. Partners of Infobip Startup Tribe include leading global accelerators and funds such as Y Combinator, 500Startups, and Techstars, as well as corporate partners like Google and Goldman Sachs, which provide startups with mentorship, access to investors, and global visibility.
