Infobip and the British telecom operator BT Group announced the global expansion of their partnership aimed at providing advanced AI-based communication services for multinational companies worldwide, Infobip reported on Thursday.
The partnership builds on the collaboration in the United Kingdom announced in 2022 and combines BT’s global voice capabilities and inbound contact capabilities with Infobip’s leading cloud communication platform, the statement said.
Infobip enables its customers to send messages via RCS, WhatsApp, and SMS, while BT offers international toll-free numbers and inbound call services as part of the International Contact Global (ICG) package.
The new agreement stipulates that Infobip will become an authorized provider of BT’s ICG services, while BT will provide its customers with Infobip’s messaging services.
By expanding the partnership, BT and Infobip enable companies to consolidate their contact centers into a single virtual network, opening a complete set of integrated voice and SMS services. In addition to driving customer engagement through digital messaging, organizations can utilize phone numbers in over 130 countries and manage inbound calls in over 180 countries.
