HEP ESCO has launched a tender for the construction of 90 photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of its facilities across Croatia, with a total value of 5.3 million euros, and bids can be submitted until November 3.

The tender was published in the Electronic Public Procurement Bulletin. It is divided into five geographical groups covering the entire country.

Group 1 includes Zagreb and its surroundings with an estimated value of 1.2 million euros. Solar panels will be installed at ten locations, from distribution facilities in Ehrlichova and Petračićeva streets to warehouses in Velika Gorica and Zaprešić, as well as a heating plant in Miševečka street.

The most expensive package is group 3, valued at 1.21 million euros, which covers cities in Slavonia. Works will be carried out at 20 locations of HEP for electricity distribution and HEP Gas, from Virovitica and Požega to Vinkovci and Vukovar.

The cheapest is group 2, with an estimate of 770,000 euros, but it includes four large hydroelectric power plants in Dalmatia (Zavrlje, Orlovac, Peruća, and Zakučac) and distribution facilities from Split to Nin and Preko.

Group 4 is valued at 1.11 million euros and covers northwestern Croatia with 15 locations in Međimurje, Zagorje, and Sisak-Moslavina County, including HE Ozalj.

Group 5 is estimated at 1.035 million euros and includes 23 locations in Istria, Primorje, and Gorski Kotar, from hydroelectric power plants Fužine, Rijeka, and Vinodol to distribution facilities in Pula, Rovinj, and Opatija.

Potential contractors are required to submit bids on a “turnkey” basis, meaning they must design and construct the complete power plants themselves and hand them over ready for operation. Bidders can submit offers for all groups at once or select only specific regions.

After selecting the contractor, HEP ESCO will sign contracts no later than 90 days after the decision, and the works must be completed within 18 months from the signing of the contract.
