The Faculty of Economics in Osijek (EFOS) enters the new academic year with new leadership. As we previously reported in Lider, it was voted in May that Sunčica Oberman Peterka will assume the position of dean starting October 1, coinciding with the beginning of the new academic year.
However, on the last day of his term, Boris Crnković bid farewell to the deanship and revealed on his LinkedIn profile the position he is moving to.
– After eight years at the helm of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, today marks the end of the most special chapter of my professional life. I have completed two terms as dean, I am handing over the duties to the new dean, and I am turning to new challenges. It has been a period filled with numerous challenges, uncertainties, and significant decisions, but also many successes. Together, we have created a Faculty that is not just an educational institution but a vibrant community, a place where ideas are born, knowledge is built, and collegiality is nurtured. From day one, I gave my all: effort, energy, knowledge, and heart. I am proud of everything we have achieved together: from numerous projects and collaborations that have elevated EFOS’s reputation, to the redesign of study programs that we aligned with labor market needs, to partnerships with the economy and community that have made us more open and stronger. But I am most proud of our students because they have always been and will remain the center of our existence – wrote Crnković.
