Auto Hrvatska, a company with over 70 years of experience in the automotive industry, officially opened a new BYD sales and service center on Thursday, September 18, 2025, within the Business Center Heinzelova at Heinzelova 70. The collaboration between BYD and Auto Hrvatska began in April of this year, and the opening of the new sales and service location signifies the full presence of this innovative brand at a new location in Zagreb and a commitment to providing customers with a premium experience.

At the opening, alongside representatives from BYD, numerous distinguished guests were present, including the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Qi Qianjin, a representative of the City of Zagreb, and several media representatives. Ms. Marija Zagorec, the brand manager for BYD, presented the breadth of the offerings of the Auto Hrvatska Business Group and the offerings of the BYD center, and announced the opening of the BYD sales and service center in Split. His Excellency Ambassador Qi Qianjin emphasized BYD’s contribution to the development of the green transition and wished success to the center and the partnership.

Mr. Alen Vuksan-Ćusa, the Chief Executive Officer of the Auto Hrvatska Business Group, highlighted the results of the synergy in the partnership with BYD, while Mr. Jeremy Wang, the regional director of BYD, thanked the Auto Hrvatska team, emphasized the speed of the development of the collaboration, and expressed confidence in a successful partnership that will provide users with the quality and experience they deserve. In the spirit of Auto Hrvatska’s tradition, the ceremonial opening was marked by a symbolic strike of the gong – Mr. Vuksan-Ćusa and Mr. Wang initiated the ceremony, while Ms. Zagorec and David Kušanić, BYD Deputy Country Manager for Croatia and Slovenia, repeated the strike for the luck and success of the center.

The opening of the BYD center represents a new step in which Auto Hrvatska has contributed to the development of electric mobility in Croatia, emphasizing innovation, quality, and sustainability as the foundation for future business. The entry of BYD into the offerings of Auto Hrvatska is not just an expansion of the assortment but also a step towards sustainable mobility. BYD is one of the largest and most technologically advanced manufacturers of electric vehicles in the world, with a presence in numerous European cities and an increasing interest in the Croatian market.

BYD is not only synonymous with excellence in electric mobility; it also offers excellent plug-in hybrid models with ranges exceeding 1080 km with a full tank of fuel and battery. The BYD range of vehicles provides solutions for various needs – from urban cars, which are perfect for daily driving and city traffic, to spacious SUV models with impressive ranges and advanced safety systems, sedan versions, and the crossover model Sealion 7.

Vehicles that are not only quiet and eco-friendly but also exceptionally comfortable, well-equipped, functional, and easy to use. New additions to the BYD vehicle offerings that we believe will occupy a significant place in the Croatian market are the sedan versions BYD Seal 5 and BYD Seal 6 in DM-i version. To facilitate purchases for customers at the BYD sales and service center at Heinzelova 70, Auto Hrvatska offers a complete package of services such as favorable financing conditions, options for long-term vehicle leasing, insurance offers tailored to electric vehicles, and expert authorized service with professional teams and top-notch equipment.
