Average Salary for June €1,444, Real Increase of 5.9 Percent

The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Croatia for June was €1,444, which is nominally 9.8 percent higher and real 5.9 percent higher year-on-year, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) published on Wednesday.

Compared to the salary for May of this year, the average net salary for June was nominally lower by 0.5 percent and real by 0.7 percent.

The highest average monthly net salary was paid in the air transport sector, amounting to €2,279, while the lowest was in the clothing manufacturing sector, €926.

According to the DZS report, the median net salary for June was €1,233, meaning that half of the employees earned less and half earned more than this amount. Compared to May of this year, the median salary for June was lower by 0.2 percent, and 11.5 percent higher compared to June of the previous year.

The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities for June was €2,008, which is nominally lower by 0.5 percent and real by 0.7 percent compared to May 2025.

Year-on-year, the average gross salary was nominally 10.4 percent higher and real 6.5 percent higher.

As with net salaries, the highest average monthly gross salary for June 2025 was in air transport, €3,317, while the lowest was in clothing manufacturing, €1,212.

For the period from January to June 2025, the average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities was €1,432, which is nominally 10.4 percent higher and real 6.7 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, the average monthly gross salary was €1,988, which is nominally 11.2 percent higher and real 7.4 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

In June 2025, there were an average of 165 paid hours, which is lower by 5.2 percent compared to May of this year.

The highest number of paid hours was in auxiliary service activities in mining (175), while the lowest was in services related to the management and maintenance of buildings and landscaping activities (147).

The average monthly net salary paid per hour for June was €8.45, which is 4.2 percent higher compared to May and 5.1 percent higher compared to June last year, according to DZS data.
