The Croatian Football Federation and Lidl Croatia have agreed on a multi-year business collaboration, whereby one of the leading retail chains in Croatia joins the Fiery family as a ‘Fiery Sponsor’.
The cooperation agreement was signed today in Rijeka by the President of the HNS, Marijan Kustić, and the CEO of Lidl Croatia and Lidl Slovenia Boris Lozić, in the presence of the captain of the Croatian national team Luka Modrić, as well as representatives Franjo Ivanović and Toni Fruk. Alongside Kustić and Lozić, the signing of the contract was attended by the marketing manager of the HNS Ante Cicvarić, and from Lidl Croatia, the head of the Corporate Affairs Sector Marina Dijaković.
– I thank Mr. Lozić and the management of Lidl Croatia for their expressed trust and welcome them to our family of strong business partners that we gather around Croatian football. Lidl is a socially exceptionally responsible company that promotes Croatian products, and their values align very well with the values of the HNS. We felt that they truly respect and support Croatian sports, and I am confident that they will be a dedicated and passionate partner of the Croatian national team and our football – stated the President of the HNS, Marijan Kustić.
Lidl has been operating in Croatia since 2006, during which time it has expanded its sales network across Croatia by opening 111 stores and 3 logistics-distribution centers, employing approximately 4,000 employees. Since entering the Croatian market, Lidl has provided strong support to the Croatian economy, collaborating with numerous domestic suppliers, giving some of them the opportunity to showcase their products on the shelves of Lidl stores abroad. Additionally, Lidl has been recognized in Croatia for over a decade as the second most desirable employer.
