Photographs from the secret dinner of U.S. President Donald Trump for the largest owners of his meme token show participants enjoying a three-course meal and gifts while protesters gathered outside the event to accuse Trump of profiting from the presidency.

The White House stated that it would not release a guest list of those who attended the dinner, but Tron CEO Justin Sun, Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu, and BitMart CEO Sheldon Xia were among those who shared photographs of the dinner held at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia.

The menu featured ‘Trump Organic Field Green Salad’ as a starter, followed by filet mignon and pan-seared flounder with mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley, with lava cake for dessert, according to two photographs taken by alleged participants.

Video of the event shows that attendees also received a gift bag containing a black hat.

Sun, who was accused by the Securities and Exchange Commission of violating securities laws before the case was dropped under the Trump administration, was the largest individual buyer of Trump’s meme token before the dinner.

The video shows the Chinese-born crypto entrepreneur, who is also the largest supporter of Trump’s crypto platform World Liberty Financial, on stage and ceremonially presented with a gold watch branded with Trump, which a company associated with Trump sells for one hundred thousand dollars.

Sun’s attendance at the event was highlighted by The Wall Street Journal and other media, with many noting that the dinner may have deepened his ties with Trump and his family.

Participants Faced Fierce Protesters Upon Arrival

Bloomberg reported that about 100 protesters gathered outside the event booed and jeered at attendees as they arrived at the venue. Protesters held signs with messages such as ‘Stop Trump’s Crypto Corruption’, ‘Democracy is Not for Sale’, and ‘Crypto Grift Dinner Bribery On Menu’.

Some protesters called for Trump’s impeachment and removal, while others demanded financial reform in the U.S.

Entities associated with Trump reportedly cashed in about 100 million dollars in trading fees from the TRUMP token that was launched two days before Trump was inaugurated as president on January 20.

Trump Media also signed a non-binding agreement with Crypto.com on March 24 to launch a series of ‘Made in America’ ETF products.
