LEDO plus is part of the prestigious Employers Partner group in Croatia

Ledo plus, a member of the Nomad Foods group, the largest European frozen food company, has met high HR criteria for obtaining the Employer Partner certificate. As the holder of this recognition, Ledo plus demonstrates its commitment to the continuous improvement of human resource management and the creation of desirable working conditions that align with the practices of the most successful companies in the region. Over 20 years, the Employer Partner project has conducted 20,000 evaluations of HR systems, which is why SELECTIO experts today have in-depth insights into all types of organizations.

– Ledo plus builds a culture of open communication and trust, where employees have the opportunity to play an active role in improving the organization. Such employee involvement in processes makes a difference. Through the Employer Partner certification process, it is clear that Ledo plus bases its HR strategy on concrete data, various forms of employee development, and the creation of a stimulating work environment. They successfully balance the needs of production and office teams, foreign labor, encourage two-way communication, and recognize the need for activities regarding the mental and physical health of employees – said Lara Šubić Šuša, project manager of the Employer Partner, SELECTIO Group.

Systematic approach to learning, empowering employees, and internal ideas

In recent years, Ledo plus has increasingly invested in the development and empowerment of its employees through a range of targeted educational programs. Through the internal Soft Skills academy, employees develop key communication and collaboration skills, while new managers receive support through the First Time Manager academy, designed specifically for those in a managerial role for the first time. At the level of the entire Nomad Foods group, a structured mentoring program is also implemented, and last year the first Talent Program academy was launched, aimed at employees identified as key talents in the company. Special focus has also been placed on internal mobility, which provides employees with additional opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company.

– This certificate represents an important confirmation of all previous initiatives in the development and improvement of HR practices within Ledo. We are proud of the results we have achieved, but we are equally looking ahead, with a range of ideas and plans that we still want to realize. Every year we strive to raise the bar higher, whether it is about career development, employee well-being, or creating a stimulating work environment where everyone can reach their full potential. We believe that such a culture is built through the joint efforts of all levels of the company, and such recognitions are additional motivation to continue in that direction – stated Marija Felkel, Human Resources Director for the Adriatic region at Nomad Foods.

Additionally, Ledo plus emphasizes that they nurture a culture of innovation in which the exchange of ideas is encouraged and where ways to improve products, processes, and the work environment are continuously questioned. This approach, based on open communication and encouraging initiative, results in increasing employee satisfaction and engagement, as confirmed by the results of regular internal surveys.

Professional growth in an international environment

Since Ledo became part of the large Nomad Foods group in 2021, employees have a great opportunity for further professional development within a strong international environment. Through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of best practices, Ledo employees have open access to standards and trends that are recognized and awarded on a global level, which is an opportunity that further enriches careers. It is worth noting that Ledo plus in Croatia is part of the Adriatic cluster of Nomad Foods, which also includes Ledo Čitluk in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ledo Hungary, Ledo Slovenia, Ledo Montenegro, Ledo Shpk in Kosovo, and Frikom in Serbia and North Macedonia.
