HR.Weekend: The Most Important Gathering of HR Professionals This Autumn Again in Rovinj

The third edition of the exceptionally successful HR.Weekend will take place as part of the celebratory, milestone Weekend.18, from September 18 to 21 in Rovinj. In its even larger edition, HR.Weekend brings together regional and global experts in the field of human resources who will, among other things, provide answers to the most current questions in the industry – what to do when we fail to build employer branding, why Gen Z often leaves, and where workplace culture is heading?

Last year’s HR.Weekend delighted all HR professionals, human resources leaders, and employers, discussing topics such as hybrid work models, L&D practices, artificial intelligence, and even psychotherapy and menopause in the workplace. This year, the festival takes a step further by focusing on specific questions and answers to pressing challenges in this sector and opens topics such as HR challenges in family businesses, what is (and what is not) employer branding, what HR can learn from sports, and how to (and should we) adapt to the Gen Z mindset.

– In its third edition, HR.Weekend offers an even richer program, top-notch speakers, and numerous opportunities for quality networking, as well as good fun. Our goal is to further strengthen the community and create a gathering place where HR professionals can learn, grow, and connect through practical examples and open discussions about the latest challenges and trends in the industry – stated Daniel Ackermann, director of HR.Weekend and CEO of the agency Degordian.

Speakers that the HR scene will not forget

Bogdan Radaković, Vice President for Human Resources, Global Transformation, and Organizational Change at the Swedish company Essity, is just one of the many strong names coming to the Rovinj stage. Radaković will speak about innovative approaches to leadership development, while Boris Vukić, partner and one of the founders of Adizes Southeast Europe and Senior Associate at Adizes Institute USA, will share his thoughts on organizational development with a focus on family businesses.

A topic that is rarely discussed but deserves more attention is how the mindset of top athletes can become a tool for HR professionals? This question will be answered by sports psychologist Boris Balent from the first team of GNK Dinamo Zagreb. With rich experience in both sports and corporate environments, Balent has been merging psychological principles and team development for nearly two decades, and he will present his insights to the Rovinj audience. Bruna Kostelac Košir, who leads the global HR function of Mplus Group, which has over 13,500 employees, will also share her rich, 20-year experience with attendees.

From a global perspective on strategic human resource management, Ilya Bonic, President of Mercer’s Career Division and a member of the executive leadership, will speak. Bonic brings insights from over 25 years of work across four continents, helping the world’s largest companies adapt to market changes.

Through a series of dynamic panels and inspiring lectures, HR.Weekend brings participants new knowledge, unforgettable experiences, and good energy. And after a day filled with lectures, the best entertainment follows as part of the milestone Weekend.18!
