As many as 12 Croatian companies on Deloitte’s list of fastest-growing

As many as twelve Croatian companies have made it onto the recently published Deloitte list of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for 2024. Along with the laureates of the previously held competition for the 50 fastest-growing companies in Central Europe, which included Stemi, Devōt Solutions, B.I.D. Grupa, and Aircash, the expanded list also features Identyum, Monri Payments, Lumen Spei, Orqa, Unitfly, Utiliter, Brain Information Technologies, and Thespian.

Stemi is the best-ranked Croatian company, occupying the 130th position with a growth of 1227 percent. They are developing a learning platform that offers educational programs and workshops for students, teachers, and learners. Following is Devōt Solutions at 187th place with a growth of 960 percent. The company specializes in software development and digital solutions, with a particular focus on innovative technological solutions for the healthcare sector.

B.I.D. Grupa, at 196th place (934 percent), has developed a multilingual CMS platform and an integrated booking engine used as a reservation system in hotels and travel agencies. Aircash, a fintech company specializing in money transfer services, is at 215th place with a growth of 860 percent.

Identyum, a regtech startup offering a platform for digital business transformation, ranked 254th (764 percent). Monri Payments, a leading provider of multichannel payment services, is positioned at 259th place with a growth of 740 percent.

Lumen Spei, a consulting company for digital transformation focused on fintech solutions and software design, occupies 276th place (677 percent), while Orqa, known for developing and manufacturing devices for first-person view (FPV) and remote reality (RR) technologies, is at 344th place with a growth of 528 percent.

Unitfly, specializing in document, information, and business process management solutions, ranked 459th with a growth of 391 percent. Utiliter, a company focused on developing advanced and specialized software solutions, occupies 467th place (384 percent).

Brain Information Technologies, which develops customized solutions in fintech and medtech industries, is at 484th place with a growth of 365 percent. Thespian, engaged in full-cycle software development with a focus on digital solutions for business optimization, ranks 489th (362 percent).

Average growth rate of 1585 percent

Among the top ten on the entire list this year are companies from Portugal, Finland, Cyprus, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The average growth rate among all 500 ranked companies was 1585 percent, with the environmental technology sector recording the highest growth of 3121 percent. This is followed by the hardware sector with a growth of 2748 percent and the healthcare and biotechnology sector with 1747 percent. Notably, 178 companies achieved growth rates exceeding one thousand percent.

At the top of the list for 2024 is i-charging, a Portuguese company specializing in electric vehicle charging solutions, with an extraordinary growth rate of 65,881 percent, which confirms both the company’s development path and the broader rise of the clean technology and mobility sector.

The EMEA Technology Fast 500 ranking serves as a benchmark for recognizing companies with high growth rates that push boundaries, expand rapidly, and shape the future of their industries, emphasized Katarina Pavlović, director in the Tax Department and head of the Fast 50 program in Croatia.

– The program includes companies from sectors such as software, financial technology, healthcare, mobility, artificial intelligence, and clean energy, providing a unique overview of innovations across the region – added Pavlović.

This year’s edition not only highlights outstanding achievements but also emphasizes the importance of a strong and successful technological ecosystem, noted Natko Sertić, chief tax partner in the CE South region.
