Open the Door to New Investments: Conference ‘Invest in Novska’

This year’s investment conference ‘Invest in Novska‘, organized by the City of Novska, the Development Agency NORA, and Lider, will take place on May 9 at Hotel Knopp (Zagrebačka ulica 2, Novska), focusing on new trends in investments, particularly on green construction and the use of environmentally sustainable materials in accordance with the DNSH principle (Do No Significant Harm). The theme also includes innovative approaches to design and sustainable solutions that contribute to ecological balance and community resilience.

This event represents an excellent opportunity for all who wish to explore investment opportunities in Novska – a city that combines business prospects and a high standard of living.

The conference will be opened by Marija Kušmiš, the Mayor of Novska, Ante Šušnjar, the Minister of Economy, and Marin Piletić, the Minister of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.

The round table will discuss how small communities have great potential and what strategies can attract investors, featuring Bojan Batinić, Director of the Internationalization Directorate at the Ministry of Economy, Vicko Mardešić, Director of the EU Operational Program Management Directorate at MROSP, Dragan Jelić, Director of SAFU, Luka Balen, Director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, and Vjeran Vrbanec, President of the Management Board of HAMAG-BICRO.

The second round table will discuss the development perspective of small towns through collaboration with entrepreneurs, with participation from Alen Avdaković, Director of TECE Industrial, Danijela Harbrecht, Deputy Director of STM CROATIA, Ljubiša Vukadinović, Director of Thermostone, Snježana Turalija, Owner of the business consulting firm GREENiKA, Prof. Dr. Ivanka Netinger Grubeša, Professor at the University of North, and Filip Pranjić, M.Sc. in Aedificium from the company Estrich Pranjić.

Boženka Spahić, Head of the Department for Economy and Agriculture, will present the measures of the City of Novska for entrepreneurs, families, and youth, along with an overview of existing industries that successfully operate in Novska, while the closing remarks will be made by Vida Iličić, Director of the Development Agency of the City of Novska (NORA).

The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, the Ministry of Environment and Green Transition, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The conference partner is the company Thermostone.
