The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for January this year was 1564 Euros, representing a nominal increase of 1.1 percent compared to the previous month and an increase of 11 percent compared to January 2024.
The median net salary for January this year was 1350 Euros, which means that half of employed Zagreb residents earned less and half earned more than this amount.
According to data from the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability, and Strategic Planning, the highest average monthly net salary in legal entities for January was paid in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas sector, amounting to 2339 Euros.
The lowest salary was paid in the production of leather and related products and other personal services, amounting to 943 Euros.
In relation to the average monthly salary for January at the national level, which was 1392 Euros, the average net salary paid in Zagreb for that month was higher by 172 Euros.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for January this year was 2224 Euros, which is an increase of 1.3 percent compared to December 2024 and an increase of 11.9 percent compared to January 2024.
