Chainlink, the leading decentralized oracle network, has integrated Pi Network into its Data Streams ecosystem, enabling access to real-time price data. This development marks a significant milestone for the controversial project. Specifically, its native token, Pi Coin, has experienced a positive surge following the integration.
Chainlink Integrates Pi Network, Price Surges
The announcement, shared via Chainlink’s official X account, highlighted the addition of PI alongside 22 other cryptocurrencies, such as jasmycoin, grass, rune, etc. For context, Chainlink Data Streams is a low-latency oracle solution that delivers real-time market data using a pull-based model. The approach combines off-chain aggregation with on-chain verification for a scalable, fast, and reliable decentralized data access.
According to some analysts, the integration brings several advantages. Chief among them is access to reliable real-time market data, enabling highly accurate price data for decentralized applications (dApps). Gupta highlighted additional key benefits for the Pi ecosystem, including improved liquidity and seamless compatibility with multiple blockchains. With this integration, PI tokens can now operate on major blockchains such as Ethereum and Avalanche.
