Technology pushes boundaries in truly incredible ways, many of which were unimaginable until recently. And if you ask Holofiction, the future is indeed here, and the company from Samobor is tirelessly working on it. Currently, it is developing WebAR solutions that connect the internet and augmented reality (augmented reality – AR), allowing users to view a product in detail in real space by rotating and examining it from all sides using a QR code. It is also possible, for example, to create a brochure for the World Handball Championship from which handball player Luka Lovre Klarica jumps out, inviting fans to purchase tickets and support the Croatian team. Or, for instance, a brochure in which a hologram of U.S. President Donald Trump appears after scanning, holding one of his speeches.
A similar WebAR business card has been created with a QR code that, when scanned, displays Holofiction’s corporate video showcasing its offerings and projects. It also contains a menu from which users can call and send messages via WhatsApp and email. Holofiction has also created 3D models of LED and LCD screens, projectors, Christmas trees, Santa Claus as part of Coca-Cola’s campaign, a Rolex watch, or a gold ring that can be displayed in real size with all the details of the actual items using a camera.
Always a Step Ahead
Among the recent projects, says Holofiction’s founder Filip Šarić, is an interactive pinball machine on a large LED screen for Hrvatski Telekom, and for Pupa Milano, an outdoor advertising campaign, or FOOH (fake out of home) campaign, in which mascara emerges from Manduševac, floats, and flies into the sky. Holofiction also worked on the warm-up show before the concert of Tony Cetinski and created a VR (virtual reality – artificial reality) game for a Swiss brand, which also included educational content for product presentation.
– The goal is always to be a step ahead in the industry, which is why we constantly monitor the market and innovations. In the coming years, we plan to expand our offerings with new advanced technologies and additional interaction. We will particularly focus on further developing WebAR, which allows users to bring digital content into real space through QR codes or applications and explore it in a completely new way. This type of technology offers enormous possibilities in marketing campaigns as it enables users to connect with brands in interactive, personalized experiences. Additionally, the development of artificial intelligence will be crucial in our future projects. AI can bring advanced analytics, real-time user experience customization, and on-demand content creation. We plan to integrate AI into our hologram projects, 3D mapping, and interactive installations. Our emphasis will also be on sensors and working on various digital installations in retail. We will expand our offerings with new interactive digital installations that combine AR, VR, and AI technology, enabling the creation of personalized interactions and experiences with complete immersion in the virtual world – announces Šarić.
