Tomislav Tomašević, the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, will participate this year in Lider’s Smart Cities conference, which will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Westin hotel in Zagreb. At the conference, he will present new smart projects for the capital and largest city of Croatia.
However, the introduction of new digital solutions in a city the size of Zagreb presents numerous challenges. Therefore, through examples such as e-scholarships, the Moj ZET app, and Razvrstaj MojZG, the City of Zagreb demonstrates a vision of modern administration at the service of citizens, a city that compensates for technological lag but also innovates.
In his presentation, Tomašević will provide a brief overview of the digital services published so far in Zagreb, as well as announce some upcoming projects. This is the second consecutive year that Tomašević will attend the conference and speak about the planned projects of the City of Zagreb, at a time when numerous smart city and infrastructure projects are underway in the Croatian metropolis.
The conference will also feature ten mayors of Croatian cities among many experts, who will participate in discussions on essential topics such as the green and digital transformation of cities and the functioning of smart city solutions in practice. They will explain how the concepts of smart cities are progressing in Croatia, presenting new projects, open tenders, and future plans.
