Fuckup Nights Zagreb: How Women Overcome Their Business Failures

The most laid-back business event on the Zagreb event scene – Fuckup Nights Zagreb, after the January male lineup, presents the all-ladies side of the fuckup through the event ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’. The notion that making mistakes is neither a problem nor a shame, but rather a completely natural part of the growth and development process, will be testified and proven by four exceptionally successful women on March 18 at 18:30, at the Metropolis Music & Billiards Club.

It is a true privilege to have the opportunity to witness on one stage how even four women detail their experiences of having messed up something in their lives. Even the fairer sex can slip up, and if they have no problem with it, there are really no reasons for unnecessary distress.

The following (un)famous individuals will share their stories with the audience:

• Ivana Bodrožić, author of award-winning and translated poetry collections, novels, and short story collections
• Marija Antunović, co-founder of the Croccantino brand and owner of the TIM Antunović craft
• Izabela Vrtar, owner of the media agency The Edit and member of the Lead.You association
• Carla Ferreri, director and co-founder of the carpooling platform for package transport – Gepek, project manager for the Danish company FatDUX, and initiator of the regional festival Girls Are Weird

What does a FuN event look like?

On a relaxed evening in the club, three to four speakers take turns on stage. Each shares their business or personal story with the audience, which started as a brilliant idea, looked absolutely promising, but ended in an epic fuckup. A business that collapsed, caught fire, or simply failed, a partnership agreement that ended in fraud, a product that had to be recalled, are just a few of the topics you can listen to at these events.

Of course, FuN stories do not glorify mistakes, but rather want to acknowledge them as a normal, integral part of every success and share them in the name of progress, so we can learn from them and not repeat them. Behind every successful business story lies a plethora of mistakes that simply had to happen for us to learn something valuable, and it is precisely this information and these decisions that make us who we are today. These less pleasant, yet crucial experiences are rarely discussed… so here FuN is to change that.

What can you look forward to if you come to FuN?

Primarily a relaxed club atmosphere, with a cold drink and snacks in hand, good fun, truly valuable information, but also emotional stories with which you will be able to identify. The stories brought to you by the fuckuper(s) of the evening are clear, simple, and educational – 10 slides in 10 minutes followed by questions from the audience. Everything you are interested in will be addressed on the spot.

How natural and normal a fuckup is on everyone’s career path is best illustrated by the fact that this is a global movement present in 270 cities and 66 countries and is the fastest-growing community for innovators and creators.
