Midea Completes Acquisition of ARBONIA climate

The acquisition of ARBONIA climate by Midea Group has been completed. Together with Clivet S.p.A., which Midea acquired in 2016, the group of companies will form a strong new alliance in the HVAC sector in Europe.

The companies will combine their strengths and expand their market leadership and innovation in Europe with their complementary product offerings. The name of the new group will be MBT Climate.

ARBONIA climate was previously part of the publicly traded company Arbonia AG based in Switzerland. In its competence centers across Europe, the group develops and manufactures products and systems for sustainable energy production for cooling or heating, heating and cooling distribution, energy storage, ventilation, and air treatment. The branch includes brands that offer comprehensive and integrated solutions, such as KERMI, PROLUX, SABIANA, and VASCO, as well as specialized brands, including arbonia, Britec, Brugman, Cicsa, PZP, Solius, Superia, Tecna, and Termovent.

Clivet, based in northern Italy, is a leading European company in the development, production, and distribution of intelligent systems for heating, cooling, and air renewal and purification. The company offers a wide range of specialized HVAC solutions for the residential, commercial, industrial, and IT sectors.

The joint responsibility for managing the umbrella organization MBT Climate will be assumed with immediate effect by: Stefano Bellò, President of MBT Climate, Alexander Kaiss, Senior Vice President of MBT Climate, and Kobe Peng, Vice President of MBT Climate.

By leveraging mutual capacities and resources, MBT Climate is well-positioned to further strengthen its strong position as a leading provider of HVAC solutions in Europe. With a customer base and channels, expertise and manufacturing facilities, high-quality services, and complementary products from ARBONIA climate and Clivet, as well as the technical advantages and investments in research and development from Midea, MBT Climate will offer a seamless, comprehensive solution for climate control management, providing customers with convenience and efficiency from a single-source system supplier.
