During the closed part of the session on Thursday, the Government dismissed the entire management of Croatian Forests, contrary to reports and announcements that only the president of the management, Nediljko Dujić, would be dismissed.
The decision to dismiss the Management will take effect after the new Minister of Agriculture is appointed to the position, that is, after being appointed as a member of the Assembly of Croatian Forests.
After that, the Government will make a decision on the new acting president of the Management, who will be a non-partisan individual.
Dujić’s dismissal was requested by former Minister of Agriculture Josip Dabro, conditioning his support for the new Minister of Agriculture David Vlajčić during the voting in the Parliament.
The dismissal of the entire Management of Croatian Forests, it is learned in the Government, was proposed due to numerous disputes in the public sphere regarding the operations of this state-owned enterprise.
In selecting the new Management, the Government adds, there will be an insistence on expertise and competence, and in discussions with partners from the Homeland Movement, it was agreed that they would propose a non-partisan individual for the president of the Management.
