The Osijek entrepreneurial IT scene has some exciting news again! ORKA, the Osijek workshop for quality applications, has officially combined the quality of its services with the renowned Gauss.
This acquisition ensures the uninterrupted maintenance and development of all existing and new functionalities of the ORKA ERP while respecting existing obligations and providing better, higher quality, and more numerous technical and consulting support. Additionally, the idea is to extend the lifespan of the ORKA ERP, or the future ERP system that will be developed together with Gauss, one of the strongest Croatian IT companies – without worrying about transitioning to a new, incompatible ERP with all the challenges that entails. “There was some kind of ‘click’, meaning a compatibility in the thinking of key people on both sides that even transcends the business domain into the personal realm,” explained ORKA’s director, Boris Giener, regarding this very spontaneous business venture and the merging of Osijek’s strengths.
The synergy between GAUSS-supported technologies and the accumulated experience and knowledge of ORKA employees in the development, implementation, and maintenance of ERP systems will undoubtedly bring about the development of new solutions, a better market position, as well as improved organization and distribution of responsibilities. Among other things, what will certainly contribute to new ideas, innovations, and solutions is a very relaxed working atmosphere. “The whole story around this acquisition is positive, but one of my favorite and most charming situations was when Gauss’s director Ivan Lozančić greeted the oldest member of our team, Mirko Kolčić, with ‘Where are you, legend?’. That same legend, who stated 25-30 years ago that he could no longer ‘pull’ new development, found himself exceptionally motivated to actively participate in the whole story after a conversation with Ivan Lozančić,” adds director Giener.
