With more than 500 employed IT professionals and the most modern technological foundation, APIS IT celebrates its 60th anniversary as a leading company in the state information infrastructure system, entrusted with the most demanding projects of digital transformation of Croatian public administration, emphasized the director of APIS IT, Saša Bilić, at the anniversary celebration of one of the largest domestic IT companies.

At the gathering held at the company’s headquarters in Zagreb, which brought together representatives of public administration for whom APIS IT develops software solutions, the envoy of the Prime Minister was the Minister of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation Damir Habijan, who, along with congratulating all APIS IT employees, reflected on successful joint projects. He particularly highlighted the adoption of the new Law on State Information Infrastructure, which will accelerate the digitalization of the entire society.

Founded in 1964, APIS IT became a commercial company in 2005, with the Republic of Croatia acquiring a majority stake, and from 2024, the company is in exclusive state ownership, which, in addition to developing software solutions, manages two of the most modern data centers for the needs of public administration.

– The change in ownership structure is proof of the commitment and support of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković’s government to the digitalization of the public sector and society as a whole. As APIS IT, through our new role, we take on even greater responsibility for preserving the development of state information infrastructure, maintaining Croatian digital sovereignty, and especially for the security of Croatian citizens’ data – emphasized the director of APIS IT, among other things.

Known for solutions for public administration such as the information systems of the Tax and Customs Administration, fiscalization, OIB, and the Shared Services Center, APIS IT is currently engaged in digitalization projects from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and for the future, it announces new services based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies and increasing cybersecurity.
