A1 Croatia has received four prestigious SELECTIO Group certificates for HR excellence

A1 Croatia strengthens the strategic role of its HR in the organization and has once again earned the Employer Partner certificate and Above and Beyond certificates for the categories of ‘Impact’, ‘Innovation’, and ‘Future’ through continuous improvements in HR practices. The Above and Beyond certificate for the company means that it belongs to the top 10% of Employer Partners in the region. A1 Croatia recognizes the importance of investing in quality jobs supported by a strong HR system, which is reflected this year in a high Net Promoter Score (NPS) indicator, showing that employees expressed a high willingness to recommend the company to people they know.

SELECTIO Group, a leading Croatian group specialized in HR consulting, has been awarding the Employer Partner certificate for 19 years, with a mission to promote high-quality practices in human resource management and encourages organizations to implement those standards that have been proven to meaningfully improve the quality of jobs. The Employer Partner project has indeed accelerated the introduction of desirable HR practices in the region. In addition to Croatia, the certificate is awarded to companies in Slovenia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Hungary, where HR is involved in strategic projects at the organizational level.

Ensuring a culture for the development and nurturing of physical and mental health

All employees at A1 Croatia are provided with an individual development budget, and opportunities for improvement are numerous and diverse, including various internal academies, participation in international projects, and support from over 80 internal trainers. HR professionals systematically support employees in creating individual career advancement plans and prepare skill development proposals for them, with over 180 such consulting workshops conducted last year. The company has also developed the STEMfemm program designed to support women and girls in continuing their careers in the ICT industry. A1 Croatia also supports the development of graduates, diploma holders, and those who have just completed their studies in STEM fields, giving them the opportunity to start their professional development on real projects with adequate mentorship through the A1 start program. Special focus has been placed on employee development in line with future competencies, which has prompted A1 Croatia to launch the Skills Map project. As part of this project, HR professionals from SELECTIO Group analyzed the largest and most relevant skills database for all existing jobs in Croatia.

In addition to providing a supportive environment for development, A1 Croatia also ensures a healthy environment for the mental and physical health of employees. The company also implements an employee assistance program to prevent burnout and ensure a better work-life balance, and they have also launched a program to assist employees and their families. As part of this program, anonymous and free professional counseling on mental and physical health as well as financial and legal issues is provided, both in person and online.
