The Victory of Donald Trump Marks the Beginning of a New Global Trend

Donald Trump is a convincing winner of the American elections. His victory is also a convincing defeat for the credibility of the interconnected system of opinion polls and mainstream media, both American and their MeToo- variants around the world, including Croatia, which spread completely distorted numbers, images, and messages aimed at demonizing presidential candidate Trump and his MAGA movement during the campaign. They did not make Kamala Harris the President of America, but they have made the issue of (remaining) trust in mainstream media a binding topic in the post-election period. But let us return to the election winner Trump, the policies with which he enters the White House for his second presidential term, the changes he is expected to bring to the U.S., and their impact on the world, Europe, and even Croatia.

The Spillover of the Trend to the EU

Given that the fundamental points of Trump’s electoral program have struggled to reach the audience of mainstream media even here, they should be reiterated. First: Trump’s economic package implies stopping radical green energy policies and expanding the gas business, reducing taxes as an incentive for entrepreneurship, and increasing customs protection for American production (which industrially developed countries in Europe and Asia fear). Second: Trump’s security package is primarily focused on closing the southern border and stopping uncontrolled illegal immigration. In recent days, he has emphasized this as the most important point of his program, as uncontrolled illegal immigration is not only a security problem for the local population but also disrupts the labor market by lowering wages and taking jobs from Americans (on this, he received support from Black and Latino voters), takes over the illegal drug market, and leaves room for various liberal and neo-communist regimes (Venezuela, Colombia…) to systematically destabilize the U.S. through ‘chosen’ migrants. Thus, President Trump is actually announcing that he will return one of the state’s fundamental prerogatives – control over its own border and immigration. The trend is likely to spill over to the EU.

The third important point of Trump’s campaign was to stop radical progressive policies, particularly aimed at halting medical transgender transitions for minors (without parental consent), erasing gender differences, and introducing transgenderism into sports (biological males in women’s sports). This issue may still seem irrelevant to the European audience, but in the U.S., in some states, medically assisted (permanent) sexual mutilation of teenagers under the guise of gender transition has become a growing social problem. All three key points of Trump’s program will influence the rest of the world as a trend that we could characterize as the end of globalist agendas in radical forms: a return to state interventionism in Western economies, a return to classic states within protected borders, and a return to traditional social values.

All of the President’s People

The second question is with whom President Trump intends to realize this project, which is essentially a project against the political establishment connected with large companies profiting from the implementation of globalist agendas (green industries, pharmaceuticals, profits from the IT and financial sectors funneled into the ‘industry’ of NGO philanthropy, the arms industry…). It is noticeable that the most visible people in Trump’s campaign were mostly individuals who do not come from the old political establishment or have come into conflict with it and were rejected.

First among them is Vice President-elect J. D. Vance, who personifies the realization of the ‘American Dream’, from a boy who grew up in a dysfunctional family in American provincial life with a mother addicted to drugs to a highly educated intellectual, who is now becoming the Vice President of the U.S. and in whom many already see the next president. According to announcements, a place in the new administration will be found for former rising Democratic star Tulsi Gabbard, who was ‘silenced’ by the establishment when she touched on the ‘war’ lobby, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who became the black sheep of his well-known Democratic family when he touched on pharmaceutical giants, and somehow Elon Musk will also be included… Clearer outlines of the new administration will be known in the coming period. They can count on support from the Senate, where the Republican Party has already taken the majority, but also on resistance from the interest-networked establishment in both parties. But a new trend has begun. If only someone in Croatia could recognize it…
