Bosqar Invest Successfully Finalizes Investment in Panvita Group

Following the received regulatory approvals, Bosqar Invest successfully completed the acquisition of 51 percent of shares in the Slovenian agricultural-food group Panvita on November 5. With the completion of the investment worth 50 million euros, Bosqar Invest establishes its fourth food business vertical, alongside existing BPTO, HR, and eCommerce verticals, it is stated in the announcement.

Bosqar Invest is now the majority owner of Panvita Holding, alongside the Polanič family as the largest co-owners of the remaining stake in the holding. This partnership enables the group to continue further acquisitions, especially in the Adria and DACH regions.

—- The investment process has been completed as planned, and now we will further strengthen the core of this new business vertical of Bosqar Invest through the organic growth of the Panvita Group. The focus will be on exploiting the opportunities we see in the regional market at this moment to consolidate the food sector. At the same time, we will increase further investments and continue to promote research and development (R&D) in Panvita. As one of the few vertically integrated chains in the food sector in Slovenia, Panvita is an excellent platform for integrating additional components, such as those from primary and secondary production. We already have a number of potential acquisition opportunities that we are considering together with other co-owners of Panvita – said Darko Horvat, CEO of Bosqar.

The experienced leadership teams of Panvita and Bosqar will now join forces to position the group as a leading player in the food industry in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe.

—- I look forward to working together with the Bosqar Invest team to develop the group into a regional leader. We are witnessing increasing pressure from the international food industry in the region, and in this sense, we believe that regional partnerships like this are crucial when it comes to timely positioning and creating conditions for achieving rapid and stable growth – said Peter Polanič, CEO of Panvita Group.
