The Economist Group proudly announces the upcoming Croatia Business Summit 2024 titled “Building Optimism and Resilience in Unpredictable Times.” In light of escalating global geopolitical tensions and increasing fragmentation, the upcoming Croatia Business Summit will explore Croatia’s potential, as a member of the European Union and eurozone, to take a key role in promoting resilience, unity, and innovation in the region. The summit will also address pressing global challenges, including the green transition and socioeconomic inequalities. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Esplanade Hotel Zagreb, Croatia.
The summit is organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Economy and Foreign and European Affairs, and will be chaired by Joan Hoey from The Economist. The summit will bring together prominent leaders and experts to discuss urgent economic challenges facing Croatia and Europe. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, has confirmed his personal participation and will officially open the event. Additionally, insights will be provided by distinguished international figures, including Gordan Grlić-Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Radovan Fuchs, Minister of Science, Education and Youth, Boris Vujčić, Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Sergey Stanishev, former Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Artur Radziwill, Director for State Economy, Strategy, and Policy at EBRD, former Deputy Minister of Finance of Poland, and Colin Ellis, Global Credit Strategist at Moody’s Investors Service.
