Every year, 25 million women go through menopause, and by 2025, there will be 1.2 billion women in postmenopause worldwide. On average, postmenopause represents one-third of a woman’s life, making it crucial to discuss this under-researched topic as often as possible. Vichy Laboratoires is a pioneer in the field of exposome science – the science of external and internal factors affecting skin health and appearance – and has been particularly dedicated to studying menopause, the changes women undergo during menopause, and the special needs of women and their skin during this period for over 20 years. Through numerous activities, from developing the Neovadiol line of skincare products for menopause to organizing various opportunities for discussions with experts about the changes and challenges women face during this period, Vichy aims to support women in menopause, empower them, and create a safe space for exchanging opinions, experiences, advice, and access to reliable information from experts.

CHANGES IN MENOPAUSE
In younger adulthood, skin fully regenerates every 28 days, but as we age, this period extends to 40 to 60 days. In the years leading up to menopause, levels of reproductive hormones decrease, leading to various symptoms that can affect the entire body, particularly the skin. Changes in estrogen and cortisol levels accelerate skin aging, causing skin dehydration and loss of collagen, resulting in dry skin, sagging facial contours, and the appearance of wrinkles. Due to these changes, skincare needs to be specially adjusted, and as a brand that believes health is essential and that caring for health begins with caring for skin, Vichy has developed Neovadiol protocols for mature skin care, both in peri- and postmenopause.
PERIMENOPAUSE SKINCARE PROTOCOL: to restore density and revitalize the skin, formulations enriched with hyaluronic acid are used. After applying the NEOVADIOL MENO 5 BI-SERUM, which is suitable for the skin at every stage of menopause, NEOVADIOL daily care for density and fullness of skin in perimenopause is applied in the morning, and NEOVADIOL night care for density and skin renewal in perimenopause is applied in the evening.
