According to data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB), revenue from foreign tourists in the first half of the year amounted to 4.13 billion euros, which is 7.5 percent or 288.3 million euros more compared to the same period in 2023, stated the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in a press release.
In the second quarter, revenue from foreign tourists amounted to 3.32 billion euros, representing a growth of 4.36 percent compared to the same period in 2023, with an increase of 138.6 million euros.
– We are pleased that financial indicators confirm that we are profiling ourselves as a year-round destination, as after yet another record pre-season in terms of tourism results, we now have record revenues from foreign tourists. This shows that the reform we are implementing is already yielding concrete effects, and with the entry into a new era of tourism development management, we expect even stronger growth in Croatian tourism – said the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonči Glavina.
