Post Offices Transforming into Unique Administrative Centers

Hrvatska pošta has the largest retail network in Croatia – 1016 post offices in over 800 locations. Of the total number, approximately half of the offices are located in rural areas, including islands. This half is the focus of the company as it offers a variety of services in post offices, providing users in smaller towns and on islands with the same level of service and conditions as users in larger cities.

Hrvatska pošta is preparing for a new phase of increasing the productivity of post offices, in collaboration with the state. Specifically, post offices are transforming into unique administrative centers where users in 800 locations across Croatia will be able to complete all tasks for which they previously had to visit various counters and often travel to larger cities.

With the unique administrative center model, Hrvatska pošta will enable all citizens, especially those in sparsely populated and rural areas, socially sensitive groups, and the elderly, to access all state services. The unique administrative center model assumes the submission of requests to state administration bodies through the network of post offices until the collection of all types of documents issued by state administration bodies, regardless of which post office the citizen submitted the request to.

The implementation of this extensive project will primarily benefit users in smaller communities who can already arrange supplementary health insurance or life insurance at post offices, submit requests for credit card issuance, arrange digital and telecommunications services, pay bills, and arrange loans.
