This year, we are witnessing a continuation of growth in the parcel business, a segment in which we break records every year. The upward trend in the number of parcels continues, as evidenced by the fact that this year’s summer season has been quite busy, with some cities recording 100 percent higher traffic compared to the rest of the year.
One of our goals is to continue building our reputation as a reliable regional business partner. Our experience and capacities have been recognized by global companies such as Amazon, for which we organize deliveries to Slovenia, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus. Sustainable business is one of the fundamental pillars of our corporate strategy until 2030, and we confirm our commitment with concrete actions such as the largest fleet of electric vehicles in Croatia, our own network of charging stations, and energy-efficient business facilities. We are already using artificial intelligence in our operations and are developing our own AI-based solutions.
For example, our subsidiary Locodels, which deals with same-day delivery, uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to optimize delivery routes. We have also developed our own neural network that we use for sorting shipments. This year, we are strongly developing logistics capacities, and two key projects are warehouse automation and the expansion of high-bay warehouse capacity.
In this regard, Croatian Post will be the first in the domestic market to offer a fully automated warehouse system service. This expands the range of logistics services that Croatian Post offers to its partners and business users.
