DZS: The average net salary in Croatia in June was €1315

In Croatia, the average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in June of this year amounted to €1,315, which is 11.6% higher than in June last year, but also 0.7% lower compared to May 2024, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) announced on Wednesday.

The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in Croatia in June was €1,819, which is a real increase of 11.7% compared to the previous year, but also 0.7% lower than in May.

The DZS also states that in June 2024, there were an average of 159 paid hours, which is a decrease of 12.6% compared to May. The average monthly net salary per hour for June 2024 was €8.04, which is 12.9% higher than in May 2024, and 24.8% higher than in the same month of the previous year. The average monthly gross salary per hour for June 2024 was €11.11, which is 12.8% higher than in May 2024, and 24.7% higher than in the same month of the previous year.

The DZS emphasizes that the median net salary for June 2024 was €1,106, while the median gross salary was €1,498.

The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in the first half of 2024 was €1,297, which is nominally 15.5% and real 11.5% higher than in the same half of 2023. The average monthly gross salary per employee was also higher, nominally 15.6% and real 11.6%, amounting to €1,788 in June 2024.
