Fuckup Nights Zagreb: A New Business-Casual Event on the Scene

The Zagreb event scene has gained a new global event this autumn – Fuckup Nights Zagreb, with the first in a series of events taking place on September 24 at the Metropolis club, symbolically themed – It Was My First Time…

Behind every successful business story lies a plethora of mistakes that simply had to happen for us to learn something valuable, and it is these pieces of information and decisions that make us who we are today. These less pleasant yet crucial experiences are rarely discussed… so we are here to change that.

We want to promote a culture where attempts are encouraged, mistakes are accepted, and successes are supported, allowing the community to avoid some mistakes through sharing stories of fuckups.

How natural and normal a fuckup is on everyone’s career path is best illustrated by the fact that this is a global movement present in 270 cities and 66 countries, and it is the fastest-growing community for innovators and creators.

You can watch the story of the movement’s origin and the events in the FuN video.

What Does a FuN Event Look Like?

In a relaxed evening at the club, three to four speakers take the stage in succession. Each shares their business or personal story with the audience, which started as a brilliant idea, looked absolutely promising, but ended in an epic fuckup. A business that collapsed, caught fire, or simply failed, a partnership agreement that ended in fraud, a product that had to be recalled, are just a few of the topics that will be discussed.

Of course, our stories do not glorify mistakes; rather, they aim to acknowledge them as a normal, integral part of every success and share them, in the name of progress, so that we can learn from them and not repeat them.

For the first event, a truly interesting and diverse team has gathered, both in terms of the industries they come from and their career paths.

The first to share their (in)famous stories with the audience are:

  • Nikola Škorić – founder and director of Electrocoin, a Croatian cryptocurrency exchange and crypto payment processor,
  • Romana Ilić – project director of Urania,
  • Goran Deak – founder and CEO of Spona and professional car racing driver.

What Can You Look Forward To?

Primarily a relaxed club atmosphere, with a cold drink in hand and snacks, good fun, and truly valuable information, but also emotional stories with which you will be able to identify.

The stories brought to you by the fuckuppers of the evening are clear, simple, and educational – 10 slides in 10 minutes, followed by questions from the audience. Everything you are interested in will be addressed on the spot.

Although one’s own fuckup is the best school, we don’t have to experience everything firsthand.

Tickets are available through the Entrio system at the link.
