Telemach Slovenia has signed a purchase agreement with Garnol for the acquisition of business shares in T-2, securing at least 98.06 percent ownership in the company and 24.9 percent of T-2’s capital. The process will be completed after obtaining the necessary approvals. The transaction will enable T-2 to continue stable development and effectively invest in technologies, products, and improved customer experience, they announced.

– Today’s agreement ensures a competitive future for T-2, which was threatened by the risk of bankruptcy. The acquisition strengthens our capacity for further investments in state-of-the-art mobile and fixed telecommunications infrastructure, advanced technologies, and innovative products and services. We are convinced that industry consolidation is key to maintaining competitiveness in the Slovenian market and enhancing digitalization and connectivity, which will strengthen the Slovenian economy in the long run, said the CEO of Telemach Slovenia, Tomislav Čizmić.

– T-2 is an exceptional and successful company that has been a leader in technological development in the Slovenian telecommunications market for the past 20 years. With this transaction, T-2 will be able to continue successfully developing its potential in the Slovenian market. The solution provided by Telemach is crucial for our employees, users, and business partners. We believe that this partnership will bring positive changes to the telecommunications market and contribute to an even better customer experience for all our subscribers, added Jurij Krč, the majority owner of Garnol and procurator at T-2.

The transaction will not only enhance mobile and fixed networks but will also enable synergy of expertise, benefiting Slovenian users and the overall economy.
