In Kutina’s Petrokemija, preparations for the start of production at the mineral fertilizer plant will begin on Friday, August 16, with the actual start of production expected on September 12, the company announced on Wednesday.
According to the statement, on Friday, the start of the production processes at the Petrokemija facility will follow, and the company notes that during these activities, a temporary increase in emissions of waste gases in the air and noise may occur.
Although exceeding the limit values is not expected, air quality will be intensively monitored through measurements at local network stations, as well as at the state measurement station Kutina 1, the statement concludes.
The production of mineral fertilizers at Petrokemija was halted in the spring. In the meantime, the plant was overhauled, and the start of production was announced for June 1. The start was postponed, and the management justified this by the unfavorable price of gas.
