E.ON Croatia has published its second voluntary Sustainability Report, thus emphasizing its commitment to leading the energy transition and achieving climate neutrality, detailing the Group’s activities and plans aimed at achieving climate neutrality. Sustainability is at the core of the company’s strategy, and all efforts are directed towards achieving a sustainable future for both E.ON and its customers, as well as for the community in which E.ON operates. The pan-European E.ON Group has confirmed its sustainable development goals and aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2040 for scope 1 and 2 emissions.

In 2023, E.ON Croatia recorded significant growth in demand for green energy solutions such as solar power plants for households, noting a 71 percent increase in sold power plants compared to the previous year. E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), focused on business customers, with more than 230 installed solar power plants in the Croatian market, has made a significant contribution to the energy transition of Croatian society with a total installed capacity of 77 MWp by the end of 2023.

– Looking to the future, we recognize the great potential for expanding renewable energy to accelerate the energy transition in Croatia. With the right regulatory framework, simplified permitting processes, targeted incentives, and increased user awareness, we believe that renewable energy can play a key role in achieving Croatia’s sustainable development goals. At E.ON, we are determined and ready to accelerate these changes, and we are convinced that this is a great opportunity for Croatia – said Frederic Delannoy, Director of the Strategy and Sustainability Sector and Head of the E.ON Croatia Management Office.

The company will continue to monitor its non-financial impacts in the areas of environment, society, and governance (ESG), with E.ON Croatia identifying two key priorities: reducing its own ecological footprint and enabling the achievement of its customers’ sustainable goals.

E.ON Croatia d.o.o. is part of the E.ON SE group, a multinational energy corporation employing nearly 72,000 people and managing one of the largest energy networks in Europe with 47 million customers.
