On all roads under the jurisdiction of Croatian Highways (HAC) during the past weekend, from July 26 to 28, traffic of 1,045,603 vehicles was recorded, and toll fees amounting to 7,944,044.08 euros excluding VAT were collected, HAC reported on Monday.
Vehicle traffic increased by 0.4 percent compared to the same weekend last year, while the amount of toll fees collected increased by 8.2 percent. Namely, during the same weekend last year, as stated by HAC, traffic of 1,041,511 vehicles was recorded, and toll fees amounting to 7,341,907.12 euros excluding VAT were collected.
The increase in toll fees collected is significantly higher than the increase in the number of vehicles on the highways, as HAC reintroduced seasonal toll prices this year after four years, which are 10 percent higher during the period from July 1 to September 30, except for trucks and buses.
According to HAC data, from the beginning of this year until now, traffic of 42,365,254 vehicles has been recorded on the sections of highways managed by HAC. The increase in traffic compared to the same period last year is 10 percent.
